Squids are magnificent creatures. For centuries, they've inspired tall tails of ocean monsters and we are still learning about these interesting cephalopods today. They are soft bodies mollusks, with very large eyes, eight arms and two tentacles. Squids are strong swimmers and some have even been seen "flying" for short distances out of water. All squids are carnivorous, although they vary in length from 1 inch to 46 feet! There is tremendous variety amongst these cephalopods, some transparent skin and others with complex color changing skin. The ocean is truly a fascinating place with countless gorgeous mysteries to explore and admire.
