Angelfish Jewelry—Carved Ivory Pin and Pendant

The angel fish boasts one of the most graceful and recognizable silhouettes among the whole fish family. Its prominent dorsal fin and long trailing ventral fins give the impression that this swimmer is meant for the stage, adorned in its showy finery. Our angel fish are modeled after the fresh water variety, which show a more vertical fin orientation.

The angel fish's bodies are carved from fossilized walrus tusk, a prized natural material some 500 to 3,000 years old. Fossilized walrus tusk lies in the earth for centuries accreting the varied caramel to deep cocoa hues pictured here. We strive for a variation in tone with this angel fish necklace, though the particular colors of your fossilized ivory selection may vary from what is shown.
