INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We can ship our jewelry designs containing mammoth ivory internationally without restriction as the woolly mammoth is extinct. To facilitate international delivery, most designs listed as walrus are available in mammoth, and we only ship mammoth outside the US.

Although we are in full compliance with all rules and regulations governing the use of ancient fossilized walrus tusk, we do not ship jewelry containing fossilized walrus ivory outside of the U.S. due to the expense and time involved in obtaining the necessary permits. Fossilized walrus tusk is regulated by CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species), an international treaty to protect endangered species. Under CITES there must be an inspection and permits obtained both outgoing from the United States and also upon entering the destination country to certify that our material is ancient. Consequently, it is currently not cost effective for Zealandia to ship ancient walrus tusk to our international customers.
